Marc Johnston, PE, Named Vice President of Operations at NOVA

NOVA is proud to announce the promotion of Marc Johnston, PE to Vice President of Operations, effective January 5, 2026.

This strategic appointment underscores NOVA's unwavering commitment to technical excellence, operational efficiency, and quality service delivery across all 20 offices nationwide. In his new role, Marc will spearhead initiatives to enhance operational performance and support NOVA's continued expansion.

Since joining NOVA in 2008, Marc has held a range of leadership roles, most recently as Service Line Leader of the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) division across the region. With over 30 years of engineering consulting experience, Marc is widely respected for his deep expertise and dedication to mentoring the next generation of NOVA leaders. His portfolio includes managing complex CMT and special inspection services for projects ranging from $1 million to over $1 billion in construction costs.

Marc holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from LaGrange College. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina, and an ICC Commercial Building Inspector, and a Level IB Certified Professional with the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission. He is also an active member of both the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).
