Say hello to one of our newest team members, Susan Carpenter, MCP, CBO. Susan joins our Kennesaw, Georgia office and will serve as NOVA’s Municipal Services Manager.

NOVA is extremely fortunate to have Susan join our team as she offers over 20 years in the field of building safety and code enforcement. She has 37 International Code Council certifications including Master Code Professional and Certified Building Official, is a Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission (GSWCC) Level 1B Soil and Erosion Inspector, Level 1 and 2 Code Enforcement Officer, and is also credentialed as a Master Code Enforcement Professional.

Coupled with her extensive skills and experience, her volunteer efforts with industry-related professional organizations are quite impressive and valued by our company. She is the current president to the International Code Council (ICC) Region VIII, second vice president for the Building Officials Association of Georgia. She has also served in various leadership or member roles to the Metro Atlanta Inspectors Association, Georgia Association of Code Enforcement, the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Permissive Codes Taskforce, and the ICC Energy Code Exam Development Committee.

Susan is a native of Kansas City, Missouri, however, has called the metro Atlanta area her home for the past 20 years. During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family at her cabin in the North Georgia Mountains, playing tennis, and reading. She calls Georgia her home, however her heart still holds true to her Missouri football team because she is an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
