We are delighted to share the announcement of our newest team member, Roman Ramos, PE, CGC, who is joining our Facilities and Building Envelope Team as Department Manager. Roman will be based out of NOVA’s Fort Lauderdale, Florida office.

Roman’s educational background and experience will serve as a valued asset to NOVA. Roman attended Florida International University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. His impressive credentials include being a licensed professional engineer, a certified general contractor, as well as a licensed drone pilot. He has ten years of experience in project estimating, construction, and inspection of civil, electrical, and structural projects. He has successfully estimated multi-million commercial and residential projects. His early field experience has allowed him to estimate not only the hard costs of a project but soft costs as well. Roman’s expertise extends to construction and restoration management, forensic investigations, and commercial UAS “drone” flight inspections in South Florida. As a multi-disciplinary engineer, Roman’s areas of expertise include concrete, electrical, steel, and masonry design, construction defect inspections, and building code forensic services for commercial and residential structures from the ground and air.

In Roman’s spare time, he enjoys cruising and family vacations, participating in triathlons (he’s completed a total of 4!), and competing in the CrossFit Dragon Challenge (where he was runner-up). He and his wife are parents to two toddlers and full-sized Goldendoodles.
