NOVA in Your Neighborhood is the community engagement theme proudly ringing through the hallways at our 18 offices. Community engagement is a high priority of NOVA ‘s and as part of a series of activities planned to support this crucial effort, NOVA kicked off its inaugural Build a Backpack Campaign this month. Each office was invited to participate in collecting supplies to support their local communities of Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina. The participation has been amazing!

With local Georgia schools starting back in late July/early August, NOVA’s Kennesaw, Georgia collected supplies to support WSB TV’s annual “Stuff the Bus” program. The Kennesaw office stepped up to the plate and was able to collect enough supplies and backpacks to fill two cars! WSB set up collection locations all around Metro Atlanta where supplies could be dropped off. Our Kennesaw, Georgia office proudly delivered the supplies and were greeted by kudos and an enormous amount of gratitude by the WSB staff and volunteers present.

According to WSB, this 20th Annual Stuff the Bus initiative collected enough supplies to provide 5,850 backpacks! The donated supplies will assist local children in the Metro Atlanta area while ensuring they have a great start to the new year. NOVA is proud to be part of the initiative of giving back to our communities. We look forward to continually participating in efforts like this because together we can make a difference.
