Please welcome one of our newest team members, Telford Wood, CET, SI, who is joining our Charlotte, North Carolina office as Business Unit Manager for the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) department.

Telford brings 23 years of experience in the industry to NOVA. He is skilled in construction materials testing/inspections, project management, and operational management for groups ranging from field staff to project managers. He has a strong ethical sense, a clear understanding of safety protocols (required training, incident reporting, etc.), and is an advocate in supporting the health of our company. He is committed and dedicated to company growth.

Telford graduated Cum Laude where he obtained his B.S. degree in Physics, with a minor in Chemistry, from Georgia Southern University. He maintains an impressive list of certifications including: NCDOT–Concrete and QMS; International Code Council (ICC): Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector; Soils Special Inspector, Spray Applied Fireproofing Special Inspector, and Structural Masonry Special Inspector; American Concrete Institute (ACI): Concrete Field-Testing Technician-Grade I; as well as National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET): Construction Materials Testing.

On a personal note, Telford is a proud father to five children, loves the adventure of taking roller coaster rides, participates in volleyball, surfing, and snowboarding and then when he slows down a bit, he loves to listen to the rhythms of reggae music.
