Donald Anderson, PE, joins the NOVA team as a Registered Engineer in our Greenville, South Carolina office. He has over 35 years of experience in geotechnical and materials engineering, and construction materials testing. His experience includes a wide assortment of industrial, commercial, governmental and residential projects in a variety of geographic regions. Mr. Anderson’s diverse background has provided extensive experience in geotechnical analysis and design, field engineering, and construction materials testing in the conventional geotechnical/materials, as well as, geo-environmental disciplines.
Mr. Anderson’s geotechnical design and testing projects have included a wide range of commercial and residential buildings, large tract and “big box” developments, industrial facilities, bridges and highways, earthen dams and levees, slopes and retaining walls. Mr. Anderson also has experience in the environmental field by providing geotechnical support for landfill design, construction and permitting, and closures. Additionally, he has been responsible for laboratory quality and management and has performed a wide range of field geotechnical and construction materials assessments. Most of Mr. Anderson’s experience has been with Piedmont residual soil, Coastal Plain sediments, Valley and Ridge sandstone and limestone, and karstic limestone and swelling soil of central Texas; however, he has also worked on numerous projects in other geologic regions throughout his career.
Mr. Anderson earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in South Carolina.
