Adhesion Test | Georgia Bureau of Investigations Morgue Addition | Atlanta, GA

March 28, 2017

NOVA recently performed Adhesion Tests at the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI) Morgue Addition in order to determine how well the air barrier membrane is adhered to the exterior wall, in this case CMU blocks. A puck is glued with epoxy to the membrane, and after the glue cures, the Adhesion Testing device, called an ‘Elcometer’ pulls the puck off the membrane, and measures the force it took to pull the membrane off in pounds per square inch.
