Founded in 1996 as NOVA Engineering and Environmental (NOVA) is based in Atlanta (Kennesaw) Georgia. The Company has grown steadily over the years to become a leader in the geotechnical, environmental and construction materials testing consulting field throughout the Southeast United States.

Acquired in July 2007 by the Trident III fund that is managed by Stone Point Capital, the goal was to gain NOVA’s expertise and significant experience in geotechnical engineering, environmental and construction materials testing services, and to enhance its sister companies’ (CAPRI Environmental, CAPRI Quality Assurance Consulting Services, CAPRI Remediation, and Owens Geotechnical) core services offerings in Florida and Nevada. In 2008, NOVA and CAPRI have subsequently merged their resources into a single, stronger entity that conducts business as NOVA Engineering and Environmental LLC and reports directly to the parent company, NOVA Group Services LLC. NOVA continues to offer traditional engineering and environmental consulting services, while offering additional services which include Loss Prevention, Code Compliance, Municipal Outsourcing, Construction Defect Mitigation and Private Provider Services™ from locations throughout the United States.
